Study Topics/Expertise:  Focus in structural analysis as it impacts vehicle concept definition. Additional focus in mass properties estimation and control, and associated standards activities. 

Mr. Cerro spent some early career years at Pratt & Whitney in the detailed area of rotating structures, learning the behavior of titanium and high temperature steels in this creep, fatigue, and fracture based design environment. He continued his career at NASA Langley as a thermal/structural support service engineer and later as an in-house member of the Vehicle Analysis Branch. He has worked at the vehicle concept definition level as well as at the detailed level of thermal/structural analysis for vehicle components and test specimens.
