Mr. Cerro spent some early career years at Pratt & Whitney in the detailed area of rotating structures, learning the behavior of titanium and high temperature steels in this creep, fatigue, and fracture based design environment. He continued his career at NASA Langley as a thermal/structural support service engineer and later as an in-house member of the Vehicle Analysis Branch. He has worked at the vehicle concept definition level as well as at the detailed level of thermal/structural analysis for vehicle components and test specimens.
